ADMISSIONS ADVISING
Grounded in nearly two decades of mentoring, teaching, and advising students in higher education, I provide guidance to students applying to undergraduate, Master's, and PhD programs in the United States and Europe. I have particular expertise in working with international applicants, cross-border admissions, and educational fit.
Together, we will identify the institutions that best match your goals and strengths, and develop a clear application strategy that authentically reflects your academic journey.
What I help with
I advise students applying at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with particular expertise in navigating applications across educational systems. From choosing where to apply to developing a compelling application, I provide individualized guidance throughout the admissions process.

Finding a learning community
Together, we identify the academic environment, culture, community, level of challenge, support, and opportunities that help you do your best work. Those conditions become the lens through which we explore universities: not simply Where can I get in?, but Where can I belong, grow, and contribute?
Asking the right questions
Learning is not about getting all the right answers. It’s about asking better questions. I teach through conversation, encouraging students to analyse, test ideas, and develop their own judgment rather than simply following some prescribed formula.
A research-based approach
First, my approach draws on decades of educational research into learning, motivation, well-being, and person–environment fit to guide the questions we ask. Second, through our conversations, reflections, and tutorials, we build an evidence-based understanding of your own educational journey.
Build, don’t invent
The strongest applications don't invent a story. They communicate one that has been built through reflection.
How we can
work together
I provide structure, research, and judgment while helping the student build the confidence and independence to make thoughtful decisions about their own academic life.
One-to-one tutorials
Investment:
150€ / 170$ per hour
Suitable for individual consultations or ongoing admissions guidance. Admissions advising packages are available upon request.
A note on affordability
I don't want cost alone to prevent a student from reaching out. I reserve a limited amount of time for students and families who would otherwise be unable to work with me. If you think we would work well together but my standard rates are beyond your family's means, please get in touch.
How I recommend we work together
Students are welcome to book individual tutorials at any stage of the admissions process. For students seeking guidance across an application cycle, I generally recommend working together over time, with the frequency and focus of our meetings changing as the application develops.
What a tutorial may look like
Reviewing a university list or application plan
Working through a specific essay, decision, or interview
Comparing options and weighing trade-offs
Setting priorities and clear next steps between sessions
Meaningful educational decisions begin with asking the right questions.
Pull up a chair.
Whether you are looking for admissions guidance, test preparation, or support with a research project, the first step is a conversation about your goals and what would be most useful to you.
